As much as we mocked the classic Seven Brides for Seven Brothers tune, Shelby and Lydia, my life long best friends, decided to make it true for themselves. So I guess they get to be brides all their lives, yeah? They certainly were both stunning brides. However hot it may have been, both days were full of happiness and love. There is just something about seeing your friends so in love and being with all of the people you love to celebrate it. I think there is something so beautiful about that. Weddings are so wonderful because they bring everyone together for such a happy cause. Life needs more celebrations like that. Here's a little recap of the happy wedding month of June.
It is a well known fact among our friends, that when someone gets married the rest of us put together a musical tribute of some sort. Whether its a song, a video, a dance, etc. For Shelby and Nathan's wedding, the situation was all too perfect and we decided to undergo writing a song AND making a music video. So first we headed over to my uncles recording studio, which was way too much fun.
Then we busted out the dress ups, the makeup, the wigs, and the dance moves as well as enlisted help from a select few. This resulted in a hilarious day of dancing in orchards, acting like T-swift, people honking, and tons and tons of laughing. You can see our finished product at the bottom of this post.
And on June 13th, they sealed the deal and it couldn't have been happier. Shelby and Nathan are two of my favorite people so it was just the greatest being able to experience their special day. And check out Shelby's dress! Is it not the most beautiful thing you've ever laid eyes on?
And to escape the heat, me and Alex modeled by the giant fans. Naturally.
