Once upon a time....Finals and school overload was upon us. Our brains were boggled from too much studying and we yearned for some sort of escape. So on a cold December weekend we packed up and headed to the magical forest of Whispering Pines. Away from the books and MyASU homepage.
And oh what an adventure it was.
.................................................................................
In a mere 30 some hours, we managed to play more games, watch more Modern Family episodes, quad more trails, watch more movies, see more elk, and take more pictures then should have been humanly possible.
We also ate more food than we probably should of. Hey, it was vacation. Since we were in the mountains where it was cold we thought it would be only appropriate to make our famous tinfoil dinners. We had been waiting all day to finally start putting them together. All wrapped up in tinfoil goodness, we threw them on the coals and waited. Checked them after the allotted time. Raw. Hmmm...interesting. Cooked them for a little bit longer. Not AS raw. Let's try again. After too many hours and not enough coals, we finally ate dinner around 9. Turns out we should have got some more charcoal...
This next picture is brought to you by the dead mouse we found in the upstairs bedroom.
Tori wasn't a fan.
But we didn't let a little dead mouse ruin our fun.
Well...most of us didn't let it ruin our fun.
Let's be real though. We had a good time.
If we had our way, we would have never come home.
And to finish the trip off right, we gave that poor little mouse a proper burial service and share memories of the good life it lived. Even it's forest friends came to pay their respects.
Sorry don't be grossed out.
Such special (mostly hilarious) moments were shared on our cabin adventure.
I think we should go again. As in right now.
But until then, he's a picture of us in our cabin jammies.
Awwwww. Cuuuute.
